Before you start
Does it write the paper for me?
It writes with you, one section at a time, from your notes and sources, and you decide what stays.
Am I allowed to use it?
Your institution or journal decides what help you may use and whether you must declare it; check its rules before you submit.
Are the sources real?
It cites only sources on file: works looked up by DOI, ISBN, arXiv or PubMed ID, works found in a search of published research, and entries typed from a work you have, which the checks list as unverified.
Which citation styles does it know?
77 are built in, including APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, IEEE and Vancouver. Other styles, such as a journal's own, can be found by name, or you can attach the style file you were given.
Can I get a Word file?
No. You can download the PDF and a zip of the paper's files: the Typst source, the bibliography and your attachments.
Is what I put in used to train AI?
No. The AI runs on Cloudflare's servers under our own account; nothing you put in is sent to another AI company or used to train a model.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Deleting your account in Settings erases everything in it at once; backup copies are deleted within 30 days.
